Other Characters Currently In-Game: Neal Caffrey
Character Name: Hera
Series: Wolf 359
Age: 4 years old TECHNICALLY, but she's a super-intelligent AI designed to maintain and run a deep space orbital craft.
From When?: Episode 13, right after having her personality core ripped out of its housing by F$&%ING HILBERT.
Warden Justification: The Barge gets a lot of inmates that've spent at least some portion of their lives being treated like they don't matter, are less significant, or have no rights as a complete living being. Hera's been on the other side of that equation since her creation, and she hates it. She would relentlessly support the personhood of inmates who have been treated that way, and can speak directly to the struggles of having power and not being able to or willing to exercise it in a way that would be vindictively satisfying. She definitely has the capability of helping an inmate self-actualize and find their way to redemption--if she doesn't fold to the desire to exercise her own brand new personal power.
Item: A communications headset with a detachable camera/operating screen for video location pings.
Abilities/Powers: In canon, she's a bodyless AI who runs and maintains the space station Haphaestus under the command of whoever's in charge. She has highly sensitive machinery that lets her essentially be an omniscient operator and one of her favorite "games" is "find the loophole in the programming," which has led to her finding a lot of creative ways to get around the restrictions imposed upon her by others. On the Barge, she'll have her consciousness transferred to a cyborg body. She will still be able to register biometric data (detail varying according to player preference), has hypersenstive audio inputs, and an artificial brain capable of computing at a much, much higher and broader level than an average human. She would likely be able to interface with computer systems on board to the degree that plot and players allow, and would have strength far out of proportion to her height and build thanks to the cybernetic body. Unfortunately, in her opinion, she'll also need to eat, sleep, and generally maintain the unit she's inhabiting.
Wardening Strategies and Philosophies:
- How will your character respond to and operate on the Barge at large?
The Barge in general won’t phase her much—she’s been the AI pilot of one of the most bonkers space stations in orbit, complete with a random plant monster living in her air ducts. The weird part for her will be adjusting to a physical form with severely limited sensory functions, comparatively speaking. As for the role of warden, she would view her job first and foremost as protector and confidant, someone to sympathize with and engage any feelings her inmate might have around their situation and the injustice of it. She knows how much it means to be heard by someone, actually listened to after years of being mistreated and ignored, and she would do everything in her power to make sure her inmate feels heard and supported. All of the above are really her biggest strengths. Her biggest weakness as a warden will probably be her willingness to forgive murder and/or homicidal intent if she feels it’s justified. She would be a great fit for Inmates who are used to neglect or abuse in one form or another, those who have been taken advantage of, used, manipulated, or abused, very willing to show them that it’s not the way it has to or should be. She wouldn’t be the best for an excessively violent inmate, if only because her general attitude toward violence is one of tolerance as long as she or someone she cares about remains unthreatened.
Deal: Full restoration of her faculties and absolute control over the Hephaestus as pertains to her own personal safety. ...Also maybe she would like to keep the cyborg body, possibly. As long as she gets all her other sensory inputs back.

Special Notes: It is very very likely that she'll end up demoted, possibly sooner than later. If/when that happens, her biometric data gathering would be limited to average human senses, and the strength of her cybernetic body on board would be adjusted to be proportionate to her build and very slightly above average human.
