OOC PREFERENCES:
•CONTACT METHOD: Journal PM, I'm on plurk as well at researchboner.
•THREAD-JACKING: Generally fine! If it's a heavy of involved thread, an inquiry or heads up is appreciated. If it's a response to someone's toplevel in the post itself or something? Go for it!
•FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE: It's fine for canonmates to tell her stuff from the future, but I'd prefer to not have her out-and-out fourthwalled!
•BACKTAGGING: Always, though I might eventually ask to talk it out or handwave.
•AVOIDED TOPICS: Dementia and realistic portrayals thereof. Clean slate TV-style amnesia? Sure, delightful. Slow loss of self and one's ability to remember when and where you are in time? No.
•PREFERRED GENDER PRONOUN: she/her
IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•CURRENT CANON POINT: Episode 13, right after Hilbert does the thing with the personality core...
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: PB'd by Jenna Coleman, but two inches shorter at an even 5'. She looks almost totally human, but there are subtle marks on her skin that could be scars if you don't look too close and are definitely circuitry if you do. She smells faintly like overclocked electronics, cold air, and ozone. She speaks informally, and her voice tends to glitch a little from time to time, particularly when she starts to get emotional. It sounds a little like a stutter given reverb. She's going to have a Time figuring out how to dress on the Barge, but she'll probably start out asking Eiffel for how to do it, which means pop culture t-shirts and jeans, probably. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
•DEMEANOR: Stiff, awkward, but not in a standoffish way, just in a "I really have no idea how this having a body thing works" way. She's trying!!
•ABILITIES: In canon, she's a bodyless AI who runs and maintains the space station Haphaestus under the command of whoever's in charge. She has highly sensitive machinery that lets her essentially be an omniscient operator and one of her favorite "games" is "find the loophole in the programming," which has led to her finding a lot of creative ways to get around the restrictions imposed upon her by others. On the Barge, she'll have her consciousness transferred to a cyborg body. She will still be able to register biometric data (detail varying according to player preference), has hypersenstive audio inputs, and an artificial brain capable of computing at a much, much higher and broader level than an average human. She would likely be able to interface with computer systems on board to the degree that plot and players allow, and would have strength far out of proportion to her height and build thanks to the cybernetic body.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: SHE A ROBOT. and there's a little bit of nasty programming in there that allows certain parties to dictate her behavior to the degree she can't find a 'letter of the law' work-around.
•CABIN INFORMATION: The door to the Haphaestus communications room, and then the communications room itself on the inside, for the most part. With the allowance of a cot against one wall.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Discrimination against AI, the dismissal of an individual's personhood, harming people she cares about...
IC PERMISSIONS:
•MENTAL: Definitely! Let's talk before anything big, but I tend to feel that if a character is psychic and I include something in narration, the narration info is fair game.
•MIMICRY: Let's talk about it!
•VIOLENCE: Yes, but I always like communication in fights and injuries in particular.
•MAGIC: Yes! Let's discuss. I'm easy.
•DEBATE: SURE, but she might nope out eventually.
•OTHER / NOTES: Nothing I can think of at the moment.
